Project Overview
This renovation project was for MIT’s Building 54 – Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences, affecting 18,500 sqft. The work included twenty new laboratories and a clean room. The mechanical scope included the installation of two side-by-side 25,000 CFM air handling units with a common vestibule, Skyplume exhaust fans, Vektor exhaust fans, hot water pumps, two pressure-reducing valves (PRV) stations, chilled water fan coil units, supply/exhaust air valves, and variable air volume boxes.
